First blog for kayaking on Lake Powell with Maggie

Hi fellow kayakers and want-to-be kayakers.

This is my first blogging attempt, so please bear with me.

Looking out the window it appears cold and rainy outside.  Not a good day to kayak, but who knows.  Sometimes, the very best days are the ones that look like this.  There isn't any wind out there, so it might be a great day.

Ok, talked myself into it................I'm going kayaking this afternoon.  It will be warmer then........right now it is only 34 degrees.  So, I will definately wear warm clothes, kayaking gloves, and water resistant jacket and pants.  Maybe even a wet suit.

My kayak is a sit-on-top, so falling into the cold water isn't a big issue, because it will be easy to get back on my kayak.  With little or no wind, it shouldn't be a concern today.  But, I haven't fallen in yet (except when trying new manuevers, but that is material for another blog.

So, have a good day all my friends and potential friends.  If you are kayaking today, let me know how it goes.
