Winter and kayaking

It's been a while since I've added a post to this blog, because winter hit and I am thinking about other things instead of kayaking.  But, recently, I was in Tampa, Florida, where the temperatures are a balmy 77 and the ocean is calling me to kayak once again.
Kayaking in the ocean is a whole different way of kayaking.  Kayaking on Lake Powell is more calm and soothing without the waves (normally), and the current.  If you are looking for  a peaceful kayak trip, then we are the place you should start.
Kayak Explorations is more interested in the fact that the whole group enjoys their kayak trip.  We do not race, or see who can go the fastest.  We try to stay as a group as much as possible, and enjoy the gorgeous scenery all around us.
Kayaking will be possible soon at Lake Powell.  We usually start our kayak trips in March.  We probably won't be doing much swimming on the March trips, but we really won't need to.  There is so much else to see and do, that you won't even miss the swimming.
Call with any questions and I'll try to answer them.  When is the last time that you kayaked?  If it's been longer than a year, you should try it again.  You might be surprised at how wonderful it is.
